While we don’t practice an “always extraction” philosophy, we don’t practice a “no extraction” philosophy either. There are three basic reasons for extractions:

To make more room for crowded teeth.
To correct the alignment of a bad bite.
To correct the protrusion of the front teeth.

Understanding that each patient is different and requires different methods of treatment, Drs. Meckler & Moses will perform a thorough facial examination to determine if a tooth extraction is necessary. For some patients, alternative treatment methods are effective, such as the use of elastics to move teeth back or growth modification devices to reduce crowding.

We will work with each patient individually to create a personalized treatment plan to ensure you receive the beautiful, straight smile you desire.
